I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to word this, how to start it, but its always best to start in the beginning right?
Last week my Great Grandmother, but we call her Maw maw, was sent to the hospital in an ambulance because she had fallen at her nursing home.
When they got her there they found she had dangerously low blood pressure, Pneumonia, and fluid in the lungs because she was Aspirating. That's where you
brain doesn't tell the little flap that closes up your wind pipe when a person swallows to close. She's hooked up to IVs and machines to monitor her heart rate, get her nutrients, and help her breath. She has
to where a breathing mask as life support so she can not talk. The only way to communicate is to shake her head yes or no, but she's so weak
she can barely do that. She hasn't had solid food in day's and can't get up to go to the bathroom. The doctors tell us that she's so old and so weak
that the chances of her making it are slim.......
But
We've been told that before. About seven years ago she was in a car wreck so they had to remove her spleen. They gave her a 10% chance of surviving everything. And well she's here today. And you know what they say...
